Memorial Healthcare System Hosts Koinonia Community Job Fair
A message from Wendy Willis-Herrera, Administrative Director of Talent Acquisition

Community Job Fair

Last month, our team came together to host our second community job fair, which took place at Koinonia Worship Center. It was wonderful to see the amazing turnout!

We were seeking candidates for nine different roles – Patient Financial Service Representative, Patient Transporter, Environmental Services Technician, Food Service Worker, Host, Cook, Patient Care Associate, Community Youth Counselor, and Medical Assistant – and we are delighted that we had over 100 attendees. We were able to conduct on-site interviews and extend 12 on the spot job offers. 47 attendees proceeded to peer interviews.

It was great to see the collaboration between our Talent Acquisition, Community Youth Services, and Diversity Equity & Inclusion teams, and to have been able to provide job opportunities to people within our community. Some of our attendees were former Memorial patients or had family members who received care from our team, and it was really rewarding to see firsthand how we’re making an impact.

Shadasia Cuvilly, who was hired for a Medical Assistant position, shared her experience. “The hiring event was a great success. I have already started working at the Primary Care facility on Pembroke Road. All the new employee trainings and on-site trainings I received prepared me for my role here as a Medical Assistant. I am most excited to be a part of the exceptional family- and patient-centered care that Memorial promotes.”

From the care we provide to the career opportunities we offer, we’re passionate about securing a better future for our community. We’re committed to making heartfelt connections as we strive to elevate the lives of everyone who walks through our doors.

We’re excited to announce our next community job fair this fall, and we can’t wait to welcome more future Memorial employees! Stay tuned for more details.
