Memorial laboratory professionals understand that every specimen and every report are informing diagnosis, treatment and care. We never lose sight of the patient and family who are on the other end of that data, and are depending on us for timely and accurate results. Our five hospital laboratories have core lab sections, which include hematology and chemistry, there is also a centralized lab for pathology and histology, a centralized lab for microbiology, and a state-of-the-art molecular lab equipped for infectious disease testing by PCR, and genetic testing including next-generation sequencing (NGS) and a Flow Cytometry Lab. We also operate two very busy transfusion services that assist in supporting our cardiac transplant and bone marrow transplant programs, have a 24/7 urgent care lab, and provide support for testing at the bedside. Combined our laboratories produce over 4.3 million billable test results annually.

Memorial Rehabilitation Institute provides highly specialized care ranging from complex multiple trauma, stroke and brain injury to physical and speech therapy. Inpatient care is offered at Memorial Regional Hospital South, with outpatient care available in five different locations. We also have a home health team and resources for long-term care at Memorial Manor, while also offering therapy for pediatric developmental diagnosis through Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

One thing that all rehab practice areas have in common is the use of advanced technology in the support of healing and recovery.
