Hospital Pharmacy

Our hospital pharmacy technicians and pharmacists are able to work in collaboration alongside multidisciplinary teams in a myriad of clinical settings continuously. Acute care hospital services range from pediatrics to adults and include all levels of care and specialty services such as Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), Solid Organ Transplant, Advanced Critical Care and Trauma, Transitions of Care (ToC), Psychiatry and many more!  The pharmacy personnel work directly with physicians, allied health and nursing professionals to provide world-class pharmaceutical care.

Specialty Pharmacy

Our goal at Memorial Specialty Pharmacy is to provide pharmaceutical care and support to patients and their doctors to provide the best possible care when living with an illness. Our team of residency-trained pharmacists and specialty pharmacy certified professionals understand our patients’ diseases state and assess how molecular-level drug protocols can impact outcomes. We offer injectable, oral, and infused specialty medications for rare or complex medical conditions like cancer, organ transplant, HIV, and multiple sclerosis. The specialty pharmacy team handles the full cycle of drug therapy management for these patients—securing insurance authorizations, establishing financial assistance, and providing patient education at initiation of therapy and throughout care. Our specialty pharmacy team of technicians and pharmacists helps patients transition from hospital or clinic care to intensively monitored outpatient drug therapy.

Home Infusion Pharmacy

Memorial Home Infusion is a state–of-the-art sterile compounding accredited facility offering comprehensive pharmacy services for infusion therapy to adult and pediatric patients in the comfort of their homes, or an infusion center. Our product lines are injectable, specialty infusions and enteral therapies for treatment of acute & chronic medical conditions. Memorial Home Infusion provides affordable and convenient care with pharmacy services available seven days a week and 24-hours a day. Servicing the tri-county area, our team collaborates with physicians and nurses to provide patients and caregivers support, ensuring they receive high-quality, individualized care and clinical monitoring.

Opportunities are available for those who seek to gain exposure and expertise in different specialty infusions and medication delivery methods.

Ambulatory Care Pharmacy

Clinical, forward-thinking, value-based pharmaceutical care is integrated with our Memorial Primary Care (MPC) practices.  Our ambulatory pharmacy teams support a wide range of clinical services including disease state, comprehensive medication and formulary management, medication assistance, patient wellness, health promotion, advocacy and education.   The clinical pharmacy team actively participates in interdisciplinary care management rounds and are an integral part of patient care.  Our Ambulatory care pharmacists are also engaged in population health management. In addition our ambulatory teams provide continuity of care for successful transitions and diligently work with their interdisciplinary counterparts to improve care, outcomes, transitions, and service our medical community.

Community Pharmacy

Our community pharmacies are strategically located within the confines of our Memorial Primary Care clinics and hospital facilities where the dedicated pharmacy staff provides a variety of pharmacy services to support our patients. Services include an affordable medication savings club for cash paying patients, pharmacy concierge services for our hospitals with a robust meds-to-beds and home delivery program, medication synchronization to enhance compliance, comprehensive medication management, as well as enrollment in pharmaceutical patient assistance programs. Our integrated outpatient pharmacy services enhance patient care and compliance through seamless transitions of care, increased medication access and improved clinical and financial outcomes. Our pharmacy team is a valuable, dependable and an important clinical partner in today’s complex healthcare environment.

Oncology Pharmacy

As a leading oncology program in the area, the oncology pharmacy department at Memorial Cancer Institute (MCI) offers a full spectrum of services in providing premier, collaborative, evidence-based and personalized oncology pharmacy in furtherance of patient-centered and family-centered care.

Our frontline pharmacists collaborate closely with physicians to develop treatment plans and monitor / educate patients throughout their therapy actively. We are available for patient consultation to ensure patients get the best results from their treatment with a focus on quality and safety.

Post graduate Training (Pharmacy Residency Program)

Memorial pharmacy residency programs are available in all acute care facilities. The challenging programs offer extensive post-graduate, learning experiences to those who wish to further enhance their didactic education through additional training. As a pharmacy resident you can expect to practice patient-focused, family-centered care with the goal of promoting favorable outcomes, improving health status of the community, and achieving high patient satisfaction while collaborating in a multidisciplinary academic environment.

Residents have a high commitment to service, teaching, research, and leadership. Upon completion of the PGY1 or PGY2 program, participants are competent pharmacists with enhanced clinical skills and knowledge and are able to contribute greatly to the pharmacy profession.

Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship

#teamMHSflorida is offering an exciting new career path for individuals with an interest in health care. This program does not require previous work experience and is open to anyone with a high school diploma (or GED).

We offer up to six months of paid training for qualifying candidates who want to learn how to:

  • Work with our state-of-the art medication distribution and inventory systems
  • Prepare medications and perform other vital pharmacy tasks
  • Deliver patient- and family-centered care across our network of inpatient and outpatient pharmacies

Job opportunities may be available after successful completion of the program and obtaining your State Pharmacy Technician Registration.
