Application Process
How frequently do you offer the Nurse Residency Program?
- The Nurse Residency Program runs 4 Cohorts per year which includes 2 rounds of start dates within each Cohort (except for Winter):

- New nurse graduates hired as a RN I in the months of Feb, May, Aug, Nov & Dec would be employed and begin orienting on the unit in the actual month hired and would enroll in the nurse residency program for the following program start month.
Who is eligible for the Nurse Residency Program?
What if it’s been more than 18 months since I graduated from nursing school?
What if I haven’t taken the NCLEX or do not have my results? Can I still apply?
Do I have to participate in the Nurse Residency Program to become employed as a new graduate?

What should I expect once I complete my application?
- I will receive acknowledgement that my application was successfully processed via email.
- I will receive an email from the Talent Acquisition team notifying me that I qualify for next steps in the process OR I will receive an email from the Talent Acquisition team notifying me I do not qualify and will not be moving forward with next steps.
- Upon receiving the “Qualified Email”; I can expect a call from the Talent Acquisition team confirming/scheduling me for next steps in the process.
- Please note that all application status updates are available for viewing in your candidate space profile.

Compensation & Commitments
If I am hired into the Nurse Residency Program, will I be paid and will I be eligible for benefits?

What will I be paid while in the Nurse Residency Program?
Will I be required to sign a contract?
Am I able to apply for a transfer while enrolled in the Nurse Residency Program?
Work Schedule
What will my schedule be during the Residency?
- When you begin employment, you complete several orientation and classroom requirements which may have varying schedules. When you begin the unit orientation you will work the same hours as your Preceptor.
- Once orientation to the unit is completed, you will move to the regularly scheduled pattern of shifts as determined by your Department Leader. Time dedicated to Residency Program activities will be incorporated into your work/class schedules.
Am I able to work part-time or per-diem while in the Nurse Residency Program?
Will I be working nights, weekends, and holidays?
Do you offer shift and weekend differentials in the Nurse Residency program?
Is it possible to take time off during the residency?
Is it possible to pursue an advanced degree while in the program?
Program Curriculum
How does a new nurse graduate enroll in the Nurse Residency Program?
- Within 2-3 weeks before the Nurse Resident is scheduled to start the program, they will be required to complete an online learner profile then review and electronically sign their NRP Training Agreement. Once these steps are completed, they will be scheduled to attend the next NRP Orientation.
How long is the Nurse Residency Program?
